Finnish language start-up courses

Registration for the Autumn 2025Start-up courses  begins on August 8th at 9 a.m. online at bit.ly/startitvantaa

We will arrange guidance on choosing the right course at Opistotalo, Lummetie 5, on August 8th from 10 am to 2 pm.

Registration for slow-paced and ABC courses begins at the Student Counseling Center on May 21st. You can find Student Counseling information at the bottom of the page.

SUOMI EXPRESS Finnish language beginners' courses at Vantaa adult education centre are free of charge. These courses are for residents and refugees in Vantaa only can participate only once in the SUOMI EXPRESS course. Register online. The courses are three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays In Tikkurila at Lummetie 4 (Library building) unless another address is mentioned.

The paid Finnish language SUOMI EXPRESS courses are intensive beginner courses from level 0. The courses are intended for asylum seekers in Vantaa. The courses require reading and writing skills in Latin letters. The course price is 65€.

The courses are held three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 am to 12.30 pm in Tikkurila at Lummetie 4 (Library building)

Registration at the Student Counselling Office on Wednesdays from 1 pm to 3 pm at Opistotalo, Lummetie 5 and by phone from 12 pm to 1 pm at 0438250070

On Fridays from 12 pm to 1:30 pm at Myyrinki, Vaskivuorentie 10 B, 3rd floor

B and C level courses

The courses are intended for residents of Vantaa, and students are selected based on language skills. Basic proficiency in the Finnish language is required for the courses. The courses are free of charge.

Registration for August courses begins online at bit.ly/suomi_bc on August 1, 2025 at 9 a.m. Registration for courses starting in October begins on October 1.
